Government introduces a bill to boost circular and low-carbon economy
The text includes for the first time in Spanish legislation limitations on single-use plastics. In this regard, restrictions are proposed on the introduction in the market for certain products, a tax to prevent the generation of their waste and the obligation of information to the consumer. The text, which is now submitted for debate by the parliamentary groups, will replace the previous 2011 regulation and will incorporate the latest European Union directives on the subject into Spanish legislation.
